Frequently Asked Questions:
WEDDINGS:
Q: Do you shoot in traditional of journalistic style?
A: For several years now, the buzz word in wedding photography has been “journalistic style.” A new type of wedding photography has emerged, diverging from the “traditional” set up of the wedding, posed portraits, and set photos at the reception. When asked this question, I usually say, “both.” I say this because my style is a little of both. My goal at the wedding is to take artistic photos- some posed, most candid. I try to tell the story of your day through the photos that I take. I know also that it is important to hold on to some of those traditional posed portraits, but I make sure that is as quick and painless as possible. Overall I believe that the style of wedding photography should be artistic- fun- and never static. No one wants a photo of them looking stiff on their wedding day, and many people aren’t relaxed in front of the camera. My goal is to create an atmosphere where you are comfortable- better yet- you even forget that I am around.
