Answers to Wedding FAQ’s

  • We believe that as photographers our job is to get your photos right in camera, understanding that our craft is of the highest importance. We are constant learners, and always striving to learn more, shoot better, and test the limits of creativity. We do not believe in “shoot now” “fix later” in post-production. We believe that post-production is an valuable tool and necessity in presenting our clients with a perfected and polished product, but refuse to use it as a crutch further inhibiting us from learning our true craft.
  • Our packages start at 6 hours of coverage. Experience has shown us that in order to do the best job possible, which is what our clients’ deserve, 6 hours is the least amount of time we will spend at an event. Rushed events create stress and missed opportunities. We offer custom photography-timeline consultation and planning free of charge with all of our packages.
  • We strive to respond as soon as possible (we don’t operate on your typical 9-5 p.m. 5 days a week schedule,) remain attentive, and treat each client the way we would want to be treated. Our goal is to get to know our clients, their style, personalities, and what makes them unique. This helps us to create a one-of-a-kind collection for our clients, for which we have become known.
  • We are bold moment driven wedding photojournalists. We are not traditional posed and still life wedding photographers. Our priority is documenting people.
  • We shoot both analog and digital photography.
  • Our post-production style is clean with classic artistry. We don’t use mass-production and filters. We custom edit all of our images using a blend of full color and black and white tones. Our look is timeless, clean, professional.
  • Our wedding photography assistants are trained professionals. They do not act as a second photographer, but are a vital part of our team who will assist us so that we can focus 100% on shooting.
  • We are fully covered by liability insurance, and are happy to provide a certificate of coverage upon request.
  • We have multiple backups of all of our professional camera gear including, camera bodies, lenses, off camera lighting, and accessories.
  • We have been shooting events as a professional team for over 14 years and have a reputation built on the repetition of impeccable service.
  • We are neither “in your face,” nor “unseen ninja” photographers on your wedding day. We are appropriate, professional, and do what we need to do to get great shots.
  • All of our wedding packages come with digital images from the final edited collection. These images are high resolution images able to be printed to 16×24 inches. Clients and their family members have personal usage and printing release to images.
  • We are available for consultation appointments in our studio at no charge. Appointments at other locations will incur a consultation fee of $100, which is applied to client’s photography retainer when they choose to book. Please email us to schedule an appointment and for more information about our consultation fee.
  • What if it rains on your wedding day? We stand by our policy from day 1, in 2003, that if it rains on your wedding day, we will gladly take the bride & groom out on our next available date for an outdoor portrait session at no additional fee. We find that day-after wedding sessions yield some of our most favorite photos. We encourage our clients to think about this rain or shine… it is a great addition to the wedding day collection.
  • Travel Fees: Travel fees are incurred for all weddings more than 3 hours away from our studio. Travel fee includes 2 nights lodging and travel expenses.
  • Post Production time can take from 8-16 weeks for final product to arrive at your doorstep. Production time varies due to size of event and time of year of event. Post production time does not include holidays, ex: our studio is closed Christmas-New Years each year.
