Hatteras Island got sucker punched last night and this morning by a coastal low.

Tons of ocean over wash.

I had to leave my truck at a high spot in Buxton this morning because I wasn’t about to drive through a ton of salt water.

When I left the house at 6:30 this morning there was some over wash by the motels and down Old Lighthouse Road and that was about it.

When I went to head home, highway 12 by Diamond Shoals was covered.

Pretty Insane.

These photos were taken this morning at High Tide.
