Cape Point Convergence

Cape Point Convergence is a perfect example of how it’s crazy you can be in a place your entire life, walk the beach a million times, and shoot hundreds of waves, but then you stop and see something that has been there the whole time– this time finally “seeing” it. That’s how it was for me with these shots at the point. I’ve always been fascinated by the waves at the point. The convergence of the gulf stream and labrador current create some pretty gnarly waves. I’d love to have been in the water shooting, but it is sketchy at best- so I shot from the beach. Anyway, the images speak better than I can write, so I’ll let them do the talking.– daniel
