Hatteras Bomb Cyclone

It’s not often that Hatteras Island gets snow, but yesterday’s bomb cyclone brought quite a lot. This morning my street looked more like Narnia than Hatteras. So, I set out to photograph the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse in the snow. What I didn’t expect to find were die-hard runners and relentless surfers. A “little” cold wasn’t going to stop these folks from enjoying the day. Disclaimer: no humans were harmed in the process of shooting these photos… that I am aware of.

These images are beautiful! I know they are real yet they seem otherworldly. Well done!

When visiting Hatteras in March of last year, we were in heaven as we enjoyed the vacant beaches during your “off season.” The 60 to 70-degree weather was utterly lovely to us. Sorry if we Minnesotans left traces of our native weather patterns with you!
PS… your runners, surfers AND photographers are pretty hardcore, and get a Great White North thumbs-up! Gorgeous images!

Would you consider making a collage out of certain ones and selling it?
