“Hundreds of artists and art enthusiasts gathered at the Dare County Arts Council Gallery in downtown Manteo on Sunday, May 1 for the opening of the 19th Annual Mollie Fearing Memorial Art Show. This annual show is held in memory of Mollie A. Fearing, one of the founders of the Dare County Arts Council. This year’s show features an eclectic mix of artwork from over 80 entries in painting, printmaking, fiber, glass, wood, metal design, photography, and mixed media.”

Stoked to have my image, Cape Hatteras Blood Moon, win an Excellence Award. If you are in the Outer Banks this month, take time to go by the Dare County Arts Council Gallery. There are a lot of amazing local artists in all genres who display their work in the gallery. Beyond that, all of these artists work hard to promote the arts and art education in the Outer Banks.

Support your local Arts Council! Prints of Cape Hatteras Blood Moon can be found at the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse National Park Service Bookstore in Buxton, or purchased online.
